Use CCSSE measures. We can track progress each time we administer the survey.
ReplyDeleteTrack number of students participating in volunteerism.
Track number of students participating in student life organizations.
Track number of students utilizing student services (i.e. Sage, Advising, Counseling, etc.)
And special events--like the trip over spring break this year and various student club trips.
ReplyDeleteMy understanding was that this was supposed to get at student involvement beyond the classroom--extra-curricular activities. Different from accessability.
ReplyDeleteWe can count the number of opportunities we provide campus-wide (ie. clubs, athletics, events, etc.) but the real measure is - this is important to us, but is it to our students? We should ask them. And we should figure out why this is important to us - define it and what the learning objectives/benefits are from these types of activities.
