A smooth transition would theoretically and hopefully lead to student retention throughout programs. Students transition into MCC and through MCC via many avenues so it seems that one of the obvious measures of this priority is our overall student retention. If we are putting students into the right programms and providing equal and effecient access to all academic and student services then their experience should be positive and they will continue moving toward their goals and creating new ones.
